Polyviscose in carpet production
POLYVISCOSE... a very interesting fiber, added to different types of knitwear, curtains, fabrics and also to carpets.
To begin with, it’s probably better to start with the root of the word “viscose”. Viscose is an artificially derived cellulose (natural) fiber from wood. Which in turn does not dissolve in water and has high flame resistance. Due to the availability of raw materials for de-hairing, fabric also has a low cost compared to wool and silk. To obtain a more comfortable type of fabric, viscose was mixed with the well-known polyester. This is how we got this fabric - polyviscose. Fibers that are soft to the touch, like silk or wool carpets, are elastic - they take the shape of the pattern well. Also, polyviscose carpets are very wear-resistant and practically do not wash out, i.e. his carpet can be easily placed in a common room, corridor, kitchen, and there is no fear that after the first or second year of service there will be a “trail” left on it. Such carpets also have hygienic properties such as breathability. They can be laid on natural wood, making them very easy to clean from dust with a vacuum cleaner. In our carpet catalog you will find such models of viscose carpets as Marakesh , Diamond .
