What types of carpets are there by design?
Types of carpet decor for private homes
With the use of carpets in the interior, rooms become more comfortable, their special style is emphasized, space is zoned, and comfort is created. A specific carpet should be selected for each style, taking into account its features and color relationships. There are several design trends in carpet making: Asian, African, Indian, Arabic and European. Each of them has its own design characteristics. We will look at the modern style of decorating rooms using carpets.
Modern and classic design styles:
- Modern carpets are made from natural and artificial materials, for example, acrylic carpets include innovative production processes, are easy to clean, hypoallergenic, practical and meet modern fashion trends
- Minimalism has become very popular lately. These are simple coverings, often plain, with smooth or trimmed pile . If there is a pattern on such carpets, it does not stand out particularly in terms of color.
- Carpets in the Art Nouveau style convey restraint and a geometric pattern on the surface.
- The “country” style is knitted products, possibly made from scraps, with an interweaving of different types of fibers.
- Scandinavian style - fully matches the color scheme of the room or is matched to the direction of the furniture and curtains. The texture of such coatings is a little rough, and the color scheme is dominated by light shades.
- Modern design in an “electric” style is collected from many directions. These can be bright carpets, plain, patterned, long-pile and smooth, made of natural or artificial material. This direction has been the most popular recently, but ethnic motifs are rarely used in it.
Carpets in orange, lilac, and sky colors are ultra fashionable. As for the classics, such coatings are neutral in color, and the pattern is reminiscent of baroque elements. Small and medium-sized carpets that leave free areas of the floor are the most popular. In large rooms, oval, round or fancy-shaped carpets in a classic style look better, and dark rooms are transformed by light-colored coverings.
