How can one decide which carrier is more convenient, which one is cheaper, and which one has better safety of the cargo, where there are no queues. In general, what to choose when ordering delivery in Ukraine.
- Cargo carrier Autolux is one of the first carriers in Ukraine not only of cargo but also of passengers. We will not tell you how they transport passengers; we will consider the transportation of goods. Just two years ago, Autolux was the most expensive carrier and the largest network of representative offices in Ukraine. We will consider a sheared carpet costing 1320 UAH and measuring 2x3, the dimensions of which, rolled in a roll, are 20x20x200cm.
We ship to the same city from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, the cost of delivery itself costs 43 UAH. plus cash on delivery 22 UAH. And you overpay 65 UAH for the carpet.
The best thing about Autolux is the clarity of time. Today they sent it to you tomorrow morning. It is also possible to track the cargo using the declaration number on the company’s website. The downside is that you need to fill out the declaration manually. (although the declaration is small and will not take long). There are no queues to receive cargo. But when it comes to shipping, you can process it right away, or you may get stuck for 20 minutes. The best part is an SMS notification of the arrival of the cargo. Which can come at 8 am.
It would take second place in our ranking. Pros - fast delivery, moderate cost, representative offices not in every city in Ukraine.
- Now let’s look at the cargo carrier Intime . It’s not particularly different from the autolux, the cost is the same, only the delivery time is delayed by 2-3 days, this is if it’s to regional centers. If your city is on the outskirts of the region, be prepared to wait up to 5-6 business days. Apparently they collect enough cargo for a full truck and then send it off. Pleasant is SMS notification of receipt of the goods by the recipient, and notification of the arrival of cash on delivery. Also, the separation of cities will be less than in Autolux. In this connection, we will give them third place in the ranking.
- Gunsel - some people have probably never even heard of this. A very small network of branches, only one branch in regional centers, as well as in some other cities. But there is also cash on delivery, which is very often preferred by buyers. But these have their own trick. When sending the cargo, the cost will be one of the cheapest - 25 UAH. for a 2x3 carpet. But cash on delivery (for sending money back) can also be paid by the sender. That is, such a policy is that for cash on delivery the recipient (carpet buyer) decides whether to pay or not pay for cash on delivery services. There are almost never queues, which sometimes scares you whether you get there or not. Taking into account the low cost of delivery but the trick of cash, as well as the small number of representative offices, we put it in fifth place .
- Business carrier Delivery . That's what it's better to call it. The only carrier from all of the above that has no cash on delivery fees. And for retail clients, i.e. For the majority of our customers this is a big minus. The guys from Delivery came up with their own trick called “CARGO PICKUP”. The service implies that the buyer will be able to look at his carpet, but will not be able to pick it up until the seller in his city allows it. The second disadvantage is that the delivery time is somewhat reminiscent of Intime, they set a margin of 2 days for regional centers, and 2-4 days for other cities of Ukraine. Although it often comes the next day. The best thing about delivery is the low prices for transportation. A 2x3 rug will cost 25 UAH. Again, there are few branches in Ukraine. If they have a warehouse, then it is the most natural warehouse - large, roomy, with access for trucks. SMS notifications are not received. Although for wholesale buyers, businesses, entrepreneurs, regular customers, without a doubt - First place!!!
- We are forced to give the first place to the cargo carrier Nova Poshta . Why forced? Now we will describe all the negativity associated with this carrier. Let's start with the advantages of the company - a huge network of branches and representative offices throughout Ukraine, which is rapidly growing. Their motto is to take first place, displacing Ukrposhta (which is in all cities and villages of Ukraine). Very often this plays a final role in the buyer’s choice. They often say that the new post office is in the next house, and you don’t need to go anywhere, as with most carriers. You can always track the cargo on the new mail website. SMS messages are often received notifying the arrival of cargo; in some cases, the content contains the declaration number of the TTN (way bill of lading). What is needed to receive the cargo. Another plus is the SPEED of delivery. Such a condition is like day after day. It really works here. Today we send the rug - tomorrow it will be in your city. Sometimes in very remote locations the delivery time reaches 4 days, but this is rather rare. And as they say, you have to pay for pleasure. Sometimes not only with money but also with your nerves. Due to convenience, the new post office is a leader in cargo transportation, and therefore you will encounter queues at any branches (and more often than those that accept more than 30 kg, because they send by beads here), especially in the evening from 16-18:30. The first problem is that there is no parking space. Mostly they are all busy. But if you are lucky, then the next stage is the queue for weighing the cargo, if you are sending the cargo. It’s bad when they stand in front of you and send small boxes to different cities. If the boxes are different, each one will be measured. You should also be prepared to tell the receiver the recipient’s warehouse number or warehouse address. The policy is that the actual light weight is calculated by the volumetric weight of their own formula, multiplying the width by the length and by the height and dividing by 4000, i.e. if we have a carpet 20cmx20cmx200cm (in a roll) weighing 12kg, then according to their formula the volumetric weight will be 20kg. But often it comes out more since they can measure not 20cm but 23cm - the total is added 6 kg. And accordingly, the cost of transportation will be more expensive. Also, during peak hours their database freezes - and then everything stops. There is only one base, if one receiver is faulty, then all the others are also stuck in a traffic jam. Also, you shouldn’t run to another department, the same story will happen there, you’ll just waste time. You received a sticker - you are halfway along the road. Now the same queue that was in front of you for weighing the cargo is waiting for the cargo to be processed. During registration, the database may also freeze, but not for long. Recently, they have begun to practice writing out the TTN manually while the database is loading. It’s impossible to imagine how much paper it takes: one declaration for you, another for their office, and two more are attached to your cargo. And there are about 20 thousand such cargoes per day. in summer, autumn and winter 40-50 thousand shipments. This is probably the procedure. Upon receipt - it’s easier, immediately for registration, you must say the declaration number and present either your license or passport. If you entered your last name incorrectly by one or two letters, it’s okay, they will make a photocopy of your documents and release the cargo. In terms of prices - Nova Poshta is currently the most expensive carrier. The cost of transporting a 2x3 carpet = 59 UAH. If you paid by cash on delivery, another 41 UAH is added to 59 UAH (2% of the amount + 13 UAH processing) That is. when buying a 2x3 carpet worth 1320 UAH at the new post office, you will additionally pay 100 UAH (for services): ((comparatively, on delivery it will be 25 UAH. So the choice is yours, dear carpet buyers.
